How I Started Playing:
My cousins gave me their piano when they moved from Hong Kong to Australia when I was four years old. I have been playing piano since then.

Asian Parents Syndrome and Classical Music:
It was my brother who my parents wanted to learn to play an instrument. My brother learned piano for a year, then he decided to drop it and I picked it up. I actually like playing the piano. I remember my mom used to sit next to me, and we played together.

Playing at a Club/Bar vs. Conventions:
The atmosphere feels different. At anime conventions, we usually perform on big stages where the audience is far away from us. When playing in a club or bar, everybody is so crowded with each other that I feel like performers and audiences are more blended together. Another aspect is that at anime conventions, my keyboard usually plugs into the amp system far away from me and is directed toward the audience. Then I cannot really hear myself when performing. I definitely like the sound that comes out in a club/bar.
